Qualitative Research Methodologies

Deploying specialized human-centric methodologies to extract nuanced insights, motivations, and consumer truths across diverse Indian demographics.

Engaging Conversations. Contextual Observations.

We design, recruit, and moderate an array of qualitative studies to uncover the deep 'why' behind consumer behaviors.

In-Depth Interviews (IDIs)

One-on-one structured or semi-structured conversations designed to explore personal narratives, deep motivations, purchase paths, and individual barriers in an uninfluenced setting.

Best suited for: High-net-worth consumers, sensitive healthcare topics, personal routines, UX feedback, and complex decision-making studies.

Focus Group Discussions (FGDs)

Interactive group sessions (typically 6-8 respondents) led by an expert bilingual moderator. FGDs utilize group dynamics and projective techniques to capture peer consensus, brand contrast, and shared experiences.

Best suited for: Concept tests, logo testing, packaging reviews, positioning brainstorms, and identifying cultural trends.

Ethnographic Studies

Immersive, real-world observation where our researchers spend hours in participants' homes, workspaces, or communities. By watching real actions in real environments, we capture unarticulated habits and actual product interactions.

Accompanied Shopping

Also known as "Shop-alongs", where researchers accompany respondents to supermarkets, kirana shops, or car showrooms. We observe decision-making at the point of sale, capturing shelf navigation, package reactions, and retailer interactions.

Home Visits & IHUTs

In-home interviews and In-home Usage Tests (IHUTs) where we place a product (e.g. food item, appliance, cosmetic) in a household. We interview family members before, during, and after use to evaluate tactile experiences.

Online Qualitative & Diary Studies

Utilizing digital platforms, mobile diaries, and longitudinal online panels. Respondents log their daily experiences, photo journals, and video updates over days or weeks, allowing us to track usage patterns without spatial constraints.

Best suited for: Multi-region tracking, digital product journeys, youth studies, and long-term habits.

Expert & B2B Interviews

Rigorous conversations with industry experts, B2B stakeholders, policy influencers, and CXOs. Sourced through detailed network verification and conducted by senior interviewers with business domain expertise.

Best suited for: Market entry assessments, policy impact reviews, supply chain assessments, and high-level strategy design.
